01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The half-chan ramen set, which pairs ramen with half a portion of fried rice, is a dependable choice at Sensho. One visitor described enjoying the combination of an old-fashioned bonito-rich soup, slightly curly noodles and savoury fried rice.

For another visitor, the first mouthful of fried rice stood out more than the ramen. In their account, the fried rice with egg, char siu, spring onion and narutomaki was ordered separately from the gyoza. The dumplings had a chewy wrapper, a well-browned base and a generously filled centre. Choose the half-chan set for noodles and rice in one meal, or let fried rice and gyoza each take centre stage. Both make it easy to order according to your appetite.

The recorded noodle options extend beyond ramen to tanmen, miso ramen, bean sprout ramen and wonton ramen. For a stir-fried dish, there is also a choice of vegetable stir-fry, meat and vegetable stir-fry, or rice with ginger-fried pork. Small plates such as shumai, warm tofu and oden can round out a meal. The menu listings also include simmered smelt and clams, salted rakkyo and beer, so there are options for a substantial lunch or an evening with snacks.

Sensho is described as suitable for solo dining, with dine-in service and table service. Payment is cash only, so come prepared.
